Animals aboard Aeromexico

Aeromexico is a Mexican company. Aeromexico accepts animals in the hold and in the cabin. The company accepts animals on condition that the flight lasts a maximum of 6 hours.

• Free transport
• Assistance and emotional: visually impaired, hard of hearing, sensory problem (epilepsy), emotional problem (psychiatric)
• Reptiles, ferrets, spiders, rodents etc. are not allowed.
• Dogs, cats, and with exception miniature monkeys and horses according to size and weight. (If they meet the requirements of the destination country)
• Reservation is not necessary if the conditions are met: obedient to his master, knows how to stand in public
• Animals cannot occupy seats
• International destinations: Passengers should consult the transport conditions of the Mexican authorities and the destination country.
• Domestic destinations: the health book is required
• A medical certificate justifying the need to travel with the animal and to carry out activities in the destination country because of a disability related to his mental health, and which stipulates that the subject is under medical supervision and supervision (dating less than 12 months). The certificate must be made by a mental health specialist, on letterhead, with professional accreditation number, original or photocopy, mentioning the specialty, address (state or country), telephone number, and the specialist’s signature.
• The animals are sitting under the seat
• If travelling with a large animal, or several animals, and if they pass on the corridor or the space of other guests, the passenger may be moved.
• Some countries have specific conditions (e.g. Great Britain)
• These animals cannot travel on MEX-LHR routes

Health conditions

• At least 8 weeks old
• Rabies Vaccination Certificate (less than 30 days)
• Clean, have no smell
• Subject to an inspection of the national health system
• Veterinary certificate (only for international flights issued by SAGARPA – Mexico’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food). Except for flights to the United States 
• Animals should not be treated veterinaryly

• Special conditions: Should not be an unaccompanied minor
• Maximum weight: 9 KILOS

• The pet will not be able to eat or drink during the flight.
• Passenger location: It is not at emergency exits or bulkheads.
