Pets are accepted in the cabin by the company of Brussels Airlines.

• Available services: ESAN * dog, Guide dog for the visually impaired, Guide dog for the hearing impaired, Service dog
• Service not available in the UK.
• Free transportation
• These animals are not subject to weight or size restrictions.
• The passenger must inform the company beforehand.
• The animal takes place at the passenger’s feet.
• The animal should not sit on a seat.
• The animal must be securely attached during the entire flight.
• It is advisable to use a harness and a muzzle
• The passenger must inform himself of the regulations.
• Long-haul flight: The passenger must have a document attesting that the dog will not do his needs on board the plane or that he will do his needs so as not to create health problems during the flight.
• The animal must be well trained, obedient, and it must be held correctly (not to bark, not to jump on the people or the other animals, not to make its needs at the boarding gate or in cabin). If he does not do so, he may be asked to put a muzzle on him or have him travel in the hold, or transport may be refused.

Conditions specific to ESAN dogs *

• Service available only for flights to and from the United States (including connecting flights).
• The passenger must notify at least 48 hours before departure.
• Fitness to travel is checked before the flight.
• A letter headed and dated less than one year by a licensed mental health professional must be provided stating:
  • the passenger suffers from a recognized mental or emotional impairment;
  • the licensed mental health professional who prepared the document;
  • the date, the type of license issued by the doctor or mental health professional and the place where the license was issued.

Health conditions

• Minimum age: 12 weeks (16 weeks for the United States) 
• It is clean, odorless and healthy
• The owner has the necessary documents:
  • Certificate of good health / vaccination
  • Animal passport
  • Export, import or transit permit
• It is not dangerous.
• It is not in gestation, does not disturb the other passengers.

• Number of animals: 2 adult animals are allowed in the same bag if they are familiar with each other. Animals up to 6 months of age from the same litter are allowed in the same bag up to a maximum of 3 per bag.
• Animals accepted: Dogs, Cats
• Maximum weight: 8 KILOS (INCLUDING THE CONTAINER)
• Unserved destinations: United Kingdom

Passengers must not occupy seats near emergency exits, be seated in the first rows in narrow-body aircraft, be seated near another passenger traveling with an animal in the cabin.

The container should be placed under the seat in front of the passenger.

• Number of animals: 2 adult animals are allowed in the same bag if they are familiar with each other and their respective weight does not exceed 14 kilos. Animals up to 6 months of age from the same litter are allowed in the same bag up to a maximum of 3 per bag. Animals weighing more than 14 kilos are transported alone.
