Sanitary conditions

  • At least 3 months old
  • Valid health certificate, and rabies vaccination certificate (more than one month but less than 12)
  • Valid documentation: Certificate of health certifying that the animal does not have a contagious disease eg: rabies…; any other document required
  • Vaccination certificates must all be officially signed

  • Number of animals per flight: 2
  • Pets accepted: Dogs, Cats, Birds
  • Maximum weight: 5 KILOS (INCLUDING CONTAINER)
  • Unserved flights: Ultra Long Haul (ULH) Sectors (Direct Flights); Air India on the India-USA route
  • Unserved destinations: Germany, United Kingdom

The container

A label is placed on the container indicating the animal’s name.
An absorbent mat is placed in the container.
The dog must be properly muzzled and kept on a leash

  • Passenger location: Passenger must sit in the last row of the reserved cabin class.

Normal excess baggage fees apply for the transport of animals. They are not included in the free baggage allowance.
