Service animals
- Free transport for dogs accompanying the disabled passenger from sight
- Free transportation for emotional support and assistance dogs for passengers with mental or emotional disorders to and from the United States
- Priority boarding for passengers with a service dog
- Required: a collar, muzzle, leash, document confirming the passenger’s disability and document confirming the special training of the guide dog, prior authorization, dogs must wear a vest or any other identification element “Animal Service” or “Service Dog.”
- The animal must be attached to the passenger’s foot, its journey cannot take place in a seat, or with other passengers.
- Passengers travelling with a service animal cannot sit near emergency exits.
- The passenger must confirm the type of service for which the dog is trained at check-in. This information will confirm the transport of the dog, if the passenger does not give information, the company may refuse the transport of the animal free of charge.
- The dog must not interfere with the delivery of regular services, meet its natural needs on board the aircraft and compromise the general hygiene of the cabin.
- The free transport of an emotional support dog is confirmed by the transmission to CROUSA@aeroflot.ruune of the medical certificate issued by a psychiatrist or psychotherapist practising in the United States, confirming the presence in the passenger of a mental or emotional disorder included in the DSM-IV list (or later version) and the need to use the dog for therapeutic purposes, no later than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. It must be less than one year before departure, presented on an official form of the psychiatrist or medical institution with the appropriate license, specifying the date of issuance and the authority that issued the license. The original medical certificate must be presented to staff at check-in. In the absence of this document, the airline reserves the right to refuse the free transport of this dog and to offer the passenger to carry the dog in the passenger cabin or in the baggage hold of the aircraft, subject to payment of a Luggage.
- Simplification of the registration procedure: it is recommended that you send a copy of the voucher to CROUSA@aeroflot.ru up to 48 hours before departure and have the original supporting document with you when you check in.
- In the event of a connecting flight, the passenger must have a cage to transport the dog on the connecting flight as a domestic animal.
- Emotional support dogs are transported in a container, if the weight does not exceed 8kg it can be carried in the cabin, otherwise it will be transported in the hold.
- The container is placed under the seat in front of the passenger or at a location indicated by a member of the flight attendant during take-off, landing, and the crossing of a turbulence zone.
- If an emotional support dog is in the hold, it will be ensured an adequate temperature for its comfort.

The trip
